nearly in

wow what a day all excitement and rain and people about. LAL is not in yet but they were moving another boat into the water and thought while the crane was going they would get us ready. We didn,t get much warning.Spent the morning getting all the stuff that could fly down on the floor.
We were then told  at about midday it would be another boat shifted and then us. so we put the kettle on and settled down to lunch. Mark went to do something i was sitting going through facebook. Then a strap appears at the window and a set of lower legs i didn't recognise.I heard Mark saying can i get the cats out first. That was it out the hatch i went , yip we were going to be on the move quicker than we thought. .
Tom and Patch had been worked up all morning and were not happy about leaving the boat. There had been a lot of clanging and banging when they moved Constance earlier so they were worried..
Patch the little one all sweet and lovely turned in to a leaping somersaulting ball of spit teeth and claws, and Tom, big strong Tom went off in his daddies arms all quiet with his head tucked into Marks elbow..
I had hoped to get the move from the beginning but with Patch being an arse and trying to escape while i was taking her lead off to put her in the cage in the car . Oh yes and me being an idiot with tech missed it.
Walking back with Constances owner John talking about afternoon tea as we will be neighbours in the pond. It wasn't till he said "isn't that your boat in the sky" i looked up and ran round.
It looked very strange , like a big blimp just hanging there and then very gently it swung around and over  Merrimack [also a macwester, but with the aft cabin]. Over the posh boat which i don't know what type it is, hoping to god it wouldn't slip its straps in the rain and come crashing down and then gently down she came. There was a lot of shuddering as the crane crept forward and she started to sway, but all was okay and she was placed like a baby in to a cot softly on her blocks.
So tonight we sleep in the jaws of the crane while it looks in our window at us.
It is an N C K crane so we have been calling it Nck the dinosaur.{ if i collected cranes i would certainly want this one. It has an engine ROOM on it}
The Bedwell team have been brilliant. Richard and Mark were guiding it beautifully and Brother Steve was so skillful on the crane ,it was amazing just to watch.
So one step closer . Mark is as we talk painting the last of the antifoul . There were bits we couldn't get to because she was sitting on them but they have placed her on the blocks so we could paint the last bits in.. Tomorrow it will be in and mast on.Then putter round to the pond where we will spend time running the engine sorting sails. And we hope to sail to Manning tree and see how she does.
More importantly see how we do.. Ta ta for now. I do apologise apparently i have tomany bits on my video so even though it took 20 minutes to download it . it did not bother to tell me it couldn't download it untill i checked the post and then it told me so i have put some photos in instead. They are in abit of a mess because like computers do, they promise much and can't deliver it.
