well today we are finally in. YIPPEE. Was worried for a while that it wasn't going to happen unless i got behind and pushed her in myself.
It was going really well and we got her in and the mast up. Then it rained and it just kept getting harder and harder. Some of my pictures are abit blurred. it was so bad i couldn't keep my eyes open, and my knickers got seriously wet with the water dripping off and oozing into my trousers.
Richard gave her one shove and she glided smoothly over to the mast crane.
The Bedwell team really do make it look easy and cosseted us newbys through the whole process and didn't make us feel stupid once.
Mark tieing us up after we coasted to the mast crane.
this ones abit out of sinc. berthed yea. Petra was helping us here and i was concentrating on taking pics and trying to keep the phone dry in between shots which ment retrieving it from the shallow but dry depths of my bossom. every time i wanted to take a photo. Petra was being rather sarcastic about my rope tieing skills but come on i have been practicing on straight bits . The mooring rope had a loop which i got they wanted over the peg but the " PUT IT ROUND TWICE" flummaxed me abit, I mean how do you put a loop around twice .Well after various descriptions i got what they ment put one side of said loop around twice. Duhhh .Petras sarcasm did not go unnoticed but if they had all stopped telling me how do it , all different all at the same time i would have got it a lot quicker. Seeing as it was pissing down i shall forgive them. We were all abit tetchy by this point.

Now it would have been lovely to have motored round but the engine which has been sat idle for 2 years sputtered in to life let out a huge belch of smoke and then died. Airlock due to Mark changing filters. Easy fix but the pressure of getting to the pond before the tide went back out ment It would have to be a tow. Mark has decided that the starter battery isn't brilliant as well and we will wait for the first dry day to fix the engine.. We expected some problem with the engine just because we couldn't check it out of the water..So now we sit bobbing and swaying in the pond. We are berthed stern in which is making getting in and out hillarious because macwester decided the pushpit bar should be solid and not hinged so you can open it. Enjoying the bobbing and swaying. Its really windy here and the rain is still going which is good because we discovered another deck leak from the houdini hatch and the anchor winch deck fitting. It is good we find these things now. And i am so glad he found it and managed to temp solve it or we would have had a very very wet bed again. We stupidly went away and left the houdini hatch open and were on a bike ride when the thunder started and hail and huge hard rain started and the bed got soaked so that was on saturday. Couldn't face sorting it all out AGAIN. So thankyou my lovely husband..
