Petra and her brother Johan with Bosun on her beautiful dutch barge.
Considering they have just sailed 19 hours across the North sea and through the bitterly cold night, they look brilliant.
Lal getting some attention from Mark. Salt washed off and sails out to dry.. Nice to have her home again.
Petra Johan, Mark me and Concrete Steve headed in to Walton for a lovely indian and then to the club for a few drinks and a good chat.
It was a lovely night and Mark and i really felt glad to be back in Walton with such lovely people. looking forward to spending the winter. Lots to do on the boat to make her just right. Now we have spent some time actually working her , there is some adjustments needing done .
Tom and Patch are back where they belong. Patch in her box and Tom on his shelf. Patch has been brilliant , taking everything in her stride and being a lovely cat. Tom on the other hand has been a complete and utter woose. He woke me up one night on Petras barge , not for water or food or the litter tray but for a cuddle. Which was given with as much understanding as i could give him at 3 am and duely put back in his carrier where he turned out to have a hundred legs , all with very sharp claws on the end. Tom was the one that got himself jammed behind Petras gas bottle  and took slices out of my hands and he is the one i check first after every journey .You would not think that they are brother and sister and have been with us since they were 8 weeks old and are now 10 years old.
Tom is now in a huff with me and it will be a while before i am forgiven . I did have a grown up discussion with him before the trip over here , explaining what was happening and why and that it was necessary. Which in itself is a daft idea , talking with a cat. The daftest part being i really did think he understood and would comply.

  1. We are all glad you are safe, you seem to have made great friends . Glad your dreams are still on track. I am sure the cats really understand, but they are cats, they will never comply unless it suits them
