boat jumble

 Hi everybody, First picture
I had to drill , what felt like a million holes side by side to cut out the bit of wood so this Socket back would fit in, ready for Mark to fit the socket
learned something though. Don't ask your husband for a spirit level. " On a boat don't be daft. Think about it , your on a boat. " followed by much laughter [ from him ] and shaking of head.
" Just measure from something straight ". Half an hour  and i am chuntering. " Something straight , On a boat , are you daft " with much laughter [ from me] and shaking of head.. So it had to go there because its in a little recessed shelf on the otherside . much measuring around from the back and tutting and finally . I am almost , well maybe not 100% sure its straight , but its very close..Then i was sanding and sanding and thinking all the time , did we not buy something for this . LIGHT BULB, moment Finger file . Asked , got , did and spent a total of half an hour doing the hole and another 2 hours cleaning the dust from everything.
Well i have done my bit . Marks bit next and then the mess that is the our electrics shall be tidied up..
Mark has put the shore power boat socket in permenantly , so once its all hooked up it will be no more cable through the hatch . YEA..
One more job done to make the boat more comfortable.
Went to a boat Jumble at Trinity Park Ipswich today. Loads of things on the list. Mainly a spray hood with the frame and a canopy for the cockpit. Got lots of little things but not the Spray hood.
It was a good day and we saw this lovely defender 130.

Mark was going round asking lots of questions of the stall holders and wishing his Guru Petra was there and Ta da . She appeared with her Besty Jayne and Bosun the dog.
Had a lovely morning and got good advice.
Just have to keep looking.
I did try to get a nice photo , think they had a six sense.
Loads of wierd and wondeful stuff being sold at the jumble. Lots of shiney sparkley stuff , that i hadn't got a clue what to do with. And loads of stuff that would be really nice but we don't really need.. lovely day
Big american pick up with a what is called fifth wheel trailer attachment. For a huge trailer with a dinky boat on it

  2. Get a square bottle or glass receptacle, half fill with water then set on level ground, mark round water level, then take to boat and hold against desired area for drilling, if water level on line, mark the area and carry on without panicking, or use a spirit level.
