Hi everybody
Colchester today. Mark has signed up with a recruitment agency. Need money to see us through the winter.
First time we have been a wander through Colchester. Really busy and the road system is wierd , but what a lovely place.
Met this wee beauty on the main street. Citroen 2cv. Somebody really loves this one.
Don't ask , i have no idea why there is a giant woman statue in the main street . But hey , whatever floats your boat. Made me feel like 5 again standing next to my mother. I was not supposed to be in the photo , but Mark is getting abit fed up with being a prop . He point blank refused this time , so apologies for the shabby look. I thought Mark was going on his own and i would be staying at the boat. He thought i would enjoy the run. But it was a last minute thought so no time to get changed.
Though i did feel like abit of a fraud with the cami trousers, in such a millitary town.
But they are SO comfy and all those pockets are great. Would be nice if i wasn't a hobbit and could get a pair of trousers that i didn't need to roll up three times at the bottom.
This was great and so well done.
We didn't have much time to wander . I could have done with finding a sign about this . I think it is a castle but it looks abit roman. i shall endeavour to find out more information about it.
Now you can't complain . There hasn't been any landy's for a while . Had to take a piccy of this one , its a high cap . We have one but a lot older and they are abit special.
This one has drooly bits on , a snorkel a winch etc.
And for some reason Pickachu and a character from shrek.
Bit of a pickachu fan myself picca picca, even though i have just been discussing for the last five minutes how its spelt with my husband. So apologies as it is probably wrong.

I can remember even though it was a long time ago my daughters enthusism for all things pokemon..
Beautiful statue. I hope to get back and have a proper look at this.
Nice place and we are always rushing. yucky place and we always seem to have hours of waiting. Bloody typical.
Colchester is bunged full of beautiful churches. I think , but don't quote me that Colchester is the oldest recorded town in England [ could be a city, the churches are so big one could be a cathedrial,]
Certainly worth a visit and if you do go down the wee side streets of the main street. Loads of shops .
Loads and loads of genuine tudor buildings , all a bit skewed and with the lovely carving on the wood work.
We did have a problem finding a carpark with adequate headroom for the discovery. Found one at Greyfriars restaurant and did the creep creep breathe in routine and got under even with the roof rack on , phew. Windy down in Walton tonight . LAL is rocking and rolling.
Tom is still wandering around the boatyard and refusing to come home. He is happy though and we are hoping when it gets colder he will come in. He used to do this when we lived on the farm. He has been done so hes not going to be a bother.
Something warm and fluffy pushed its way between my arms last night in bed. I was like "what on earth " and then the purring started. Patch . She slept there most of the night only moving over abit when i got cramp and had to turn over. She is a wee sweet thing but i think she is missing her brother abit.and has decided if she can't cuddle up with him , then i will do.. I shall do my best to be a replacement for Tom until his return , which i hope is soon. A one eyed cat  less than an inch away from your face purring , is surprisingly scary at 3 in the morning.
Night night chaps and chapesses
