back up to Scotland

Well i havent blogged for a while. I have been looking for work as well as Mark doing the same. Its abit scarce so i shall be returning to Scotland and to work there for the winter. Mark will be staying with  Lal and doing the repairs she needs . I leave tomorrow . Its abit of a detour from the amazing adventure but without money there will be none at all.
I am going to miss everybody down in Walton so much. They have become family very quickly and it is going to be wierd without seeing them everyday.Hopefully winter shall be over quickly and we will be off once again. Sticking to a plan this time and heading for France. I am glad we got to the Netherlands . Its a lovely place and worth spending a bit of time there .

But still, attending a conference full of passionate dedicated highly qualified scientists , terrified me.  Some old photos, we don't get snow in the South Rhinns very often , but when we do its a show stopper  This is a few years ago . Cows had to be fed and checked even though it took Mark 3 days sitting in the landy to get through finally. Power was off across the whole area and the snow was sticky and shut all the mobile antennas down. Landlines to were down. Some villages were shut off for at least 5 days and the RNLI had to rescue people from outlying bays and get them to Portpatrick. We were lucky. We had a rayburn and plenty of wood. My parents rayburn got blocked with snow and the fire decided to visit the kitchen. They did get it out with help from there friend John their neighbour. i thought they would be ok and hadnt got to them for a couple of days. What a sight they were all covered in soot, hair standing on end. A massive hunt went on for sheep trapped in snowbanks and most were found alive and had lambed .It being the end of march when we got all this. H

wow what a day all excitement and rain and people about. LAL is not in yet but they were moving another boat into the water and thought while the crane was going they would get us ready. We didn,t get much warning.Spent the morning getting all the stuff that could fly down on the floor. We were then told  at about midday it would be another boat shifted and then us. so we put the kettle on and settled down to lunch. Mark went to do something i was sitting going through facebook. Then a strap appears at the window and a set of lower legs i didn't recognise.I heard Mark saying can i get the cats out first. That was it out the hatch i went , yip we were going to be on the move quicker than we thought. . Tom and Patch had been worked up all morning and were not happy about leaving the boat.
